Regé-Jean Page charms his way into Tuscany and hearts

From serenading Halle Bailey on set to improvising Shakespeare on stage, Regé-Jean Page is proving he is as magnetic off screen as he is on it.

There is a reason Regé-Jean Page became a household name almost overnight. It is not just the jawline or the accent — it is the effortless charisma that makes everything he does feel like a performance worth watching. This week, the Bridgerton alum stopped by The Tonight Show to promote his upcoming romantic comedy, and the appearance reminded everyone exactly why the internet has never quite gotten over him.

Page is gearing up for the theatrical release of You, Me & Tuscany, hitting theaters on April 10, 2026 — and if his press run is any indication, the film is going to be a very good time.

What Regé-Jean Page Revealed on the Fallon Appearance

During the visit, Page entertained the audience with two stories that perfectly capture his personality. The first involved a Shakespeare performance gone sideways — he forgot a prop mid-scene and was forced to improvise his way through it entirely on the spot. The second, arguably more entertaining, involved serenading Halle Bailey on the set of You, Me & Tuscany using decidedly unromantic songs.

Page took classics like Take Me Out to the Ball Game and transformed them into full-on romantic ballads — selling every moment with the kind of deadpan commitment that only someone deeply comfortable with being ridiculous can pull off. The bit landed perfectly, and the clip has already been making the rounds online.

It is exactly the kind of press moment a rom-com needs two weeks before opening weekend.

Everything to Know About You, Me & Tuscany

The film follows Anna, a woman who crashes at an empty Italian villa while posing as the owner’s fiancée, only to discover an unexpected romance that transforms her life. Regé-Jean Page plays Michael, the owner’s cousin, opposite Halle Bailey as Anna.

Bailey plays a culinary-school dropout from New York who impulsively slips away to a Tuscan villa a nd falls into an entanglement with Michael, a polyglot vintner played by Page. The story weaves together family, food, and the kind of slow-burn tension that makes a good rom-com worth every minute.

Key details about the film

  • Director — Kat Coiro, known for Marry Me and She-Hulk— Attorney at Law
  • Studio — Universal Pictures, produced by Will Packer Productions
  • Release date — April 10, 2026, in theaters nationwide
  • Rating — PG-13, runtime 1 hour 44 minutes
  • Filmed on location — Rome and Tuscany, Italy

Why Regé-Jean Page Said Yes to a Rom-Com

Page has been refreshingly open about his decision to lean back into romantic territory. With many thinkpieces declaring the death of the rom-com, Page said the misconception actually informed his decision to sign on, expressing his belief that love is not dead and that he was happy to champion that idea through this film.

It is a welcome stance from an actor who could easily have pivoted entirely into action territory after The Gray Man and Black Bag. Instead, Page is doubling down on the genre that first made audiences fall for him — and doing it alongside one of the most compelling young actresses working today.

Page described the shoot as an overwhelmingly positive experience — weeks spent in the Tuscan sunshine, driving through vineyards, and working with Bailey every day, calling it a great time making a movie about stepping into your best life.

Halle Bailey Brings Real Heart to the Role

Bailey is no stranger to carrying a film. After her turn as Ariel in the live-action The Little Mermaid, she arrives in You, Me & Tuscany with something to prove — and from all accounts, she delivers. Bailey identified with the character of Anna immediately, bringing a personal connection to the role that makes the journey feel genuine and believable rather than formulaic.

The dynamic between Page and Bailey has been a consistent highlight of the film’s press tour. The two move through interviews with the easy chemistry of people who genuinely enjoyed making something together — which, based on everything Page has described about the shoot, appears to be exactly what happened.

You, Me & Tuscany opens in theaters April 10, 2026. If the promo run is this entertaining, the film itself might just be the rom-com moment of the year.
