Blueface admits he played along with a paternity story that was never really true

For years, the relationship between Blueface and Chrisean Rock played out like a reality series that nobody could look away from. Public arguments, cheating accusations, arrests and an ongoing paternity debate kept both of their names in the headlines on a near-constant basis. Now, in what may be the most candid moment of the entire saga, Blueface is saying openly that at least part of what the public was watching was a performance, and a profitable one at that.

In a recent television interview, the rapper addressed the long-running question of whether he is the biological father of Chrisean Rock’s two-year-old son, Chrisean Jr. His answer was blunt. He says he is not the father, and more strikingly, he says he knew that all along.

Blueface on the story he chose to tell

What makes his admission particularly striking is not just the claim itself but his reasoning for going along with it in the first place. He explained that claiming the child fit a narrative that was working for him financially and publicly. The real biological father, he suggested, did not serve the story they were telling. So Blueface stepped into the role, let the cameras roll and watched the attention pour in.

He framed it almost as a business decision, describing the whole arrangement as a good storyline that made sense at the time. He also suggested that looking back at the sequence of events, everything now adds up in a way that confirms his version of things, though he stopped short of laying out exactly what those signs were.

The paternity question has been anything but straightforward. He publicly denied being the father shortly after the child was born in late 2023. Then in early 2025, Chrisean Rock shared what she described as official paternity results on social media that appeared to name Blueface as the father. Months later, he seemed to reverse course again during a livestream, referring to the boy as his son while discussing the test. The timeline has been confusing by design or by chaos, and perhaps, as he is now suggesting, a bit of both.

Where Blueface stands now on Chrisean Rock

Beyond the paternity confession, Blueface made clear that whatever connection he and Chrisean Rock once had is fully behind him. He described their relationship as entirely over, with no ongoing involvement of any kind. The tone was firm and notably free of the back and forth that has defined nearly every previous chapter of their dynamic.

He contrasted that chapter with his current situation, speaking warmly about his co-parenting relationship with Jaidyn Alexis, which he described as grounded and family focused. The comparison was pointed, suggesting that what he has now is the more stable and intentional version of what the Chrisean Rock era only appeared to be.

He also took a subtle jab at the way their relationship began, noting that she came into his life as a fan after he was already established, a detail he offered without much elaboration but with enough weight to make his feelings clear.

A relationship that was always built for the spotlight

Whether any of this reframes the public’s understanding of Blueface and Chrisean Rock depends on how much credit one gives his current account. What is undeniable is that the relationship generated enormous attention, and both of them benefited from that attention in real and measurable ways.

His admission does not erase the drama that came with it. It just adds one more complicated layer to a story that has never been simple.
