Every NBA offseason brings with it a fresh wave of speculation, roster reshuffling, and franchise-altering decisions. This summer figures to be no different. With several high-profile players potentially available and teams hungry to retool, the trade market is shaping up to be one of the most active in recent memory. Here is a look at ten players whose names are generating the most serious buzz heading into the offseason.

NBA Superstars Dominating Trade Conversations

Giannis Antetokounmpo sits at the very top of every NBA trade discussion this offseason. The two-time MVP has been heavily linked to the Miami Heat, a franchise that has long impressed him with its organizational culture and commitment to winning. After four straight Play-In Tournament appearances, Miami is motivated to land a transformative talent, and a package built around Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, and multiple draft picks could make that conversation serious. The pairing with Bam Adebayo may not be picture-perfect on paper, but their shared defensive intensity and Miami’s uptempo style of play could produce something compelling.

Kawhi Leonard is another elite name tied to a high-profile destination. The Golden State Warriors, operating with a sense of urgency as Stephen Curry moves deeper into the later stages of his career, are expected to pursue Leonard with genuine aggression. His two-way impact — elite perimeter defense paired with a methodical, high-efficiency offensive game — would give Golden State the kind of star power that could fuel another deep playoff run.

Donovan Mitchell rounds out the top tier of NBA names in circulation. His standing with the Cleveland Cavaliers hinges largely on how the franchise evaluates its postseason performance. Should expectations go unmet, Mitchell could find himself on the move, with the Houston Rockets emerging as a logical destination. His ability to create his own shot and score at volume would address one of Houston’s most pressing offensive needs.

Rising Talents on Shifting Rosters

Paolo Banchero, selected first overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, could become available if the Orlando Magic decide a roster reset is necessary. The Brooklyn Nets, sitting on a deep reserve of draft capital and young talent, would be well-positioned to construct an attractive offer. Banchero’s scoring versatility and physical profile make him the kind of centerpiece around which a franchise can build.

Zion Williamson’s name continues to surface in NBA trade speculation, largely because his availability and his talent exist at opposite ends of the same conversation. The Phoenix Suns could be willing to absorb the injury risk if it means giving Devin Booker a legitimate co-star with Williamson’s offensive capabilities. When healthy, few players in the NBA can match his combination of size, power, and skill around the basket.

Michael Porter Jr. has drawn interest from the Detroit Pistons, a team that has been searching for perimeter scoring to complement Cade Cunningham. Porter’s ability to knock down shots from distance and contribute on the defensive end would give Detroit another credible offensive option and take some of the burden off its young franchise cornerstone.

Role Players With Real Market Value

Tyler Herro’s name appears on both sides of the trade ledger this offseason. While he has been discussed as part of a potential package heading out of Miami, he also draws genuine standalone interest. The Milwaukee Bucks, looking to build around their core, could see Herro — a Wisconsin native — as a natural cultural and basketball fit. His offensive skill set as a secondary scorer and shot creator would add real value to Milwaukee’s rotation.

Jarrett Allen presents a different kind of opportunity. The Charlotte Hornets have been working to solidify their frontcourt, and Allen’s rim protection and rebounding would provide exactly the kind of interior anchor their perimeter-heavy roster currently lacks. His durability and consistency make him a low-risk, high-impact addition for a team trying to climb back into playoff contention.

Domantas Sabonis has already been the subject of substantive trade conversations between the Sacramento Kings and the Toronto Raptors. Toronto’s need for a reliable half-court offensive creator makes Sabonis an appealing fit — his passing, post scoring, and rebounding translate well to a team looking to add more structure and efficiency to its offensive sets.

Ryan Rollins, while operating on a smaller stage than the other names on this list, has shown enough promise to draw NBA attention. The Atlanta Hawks, with a collection of picks and prospects at their disposal, could make a move for Rollins as part of a longer-term strategy to bolster their perimeter depth.

What This Offseason Means for the NBA Landscape

The breadth of this trade market reflects how much uncertainty currently exists across the NBA. Teams at multiple stages of their competitive windows — from contenders making one final push to rebuilding franchises acquiring assets — are all positioned to be active. The players listed here represent a cross-section of that market: proven stars, high-upside youngsters, and dependable role players who can shift the balance for whatever team acquires them.

How many of these moves actually materialize remains to be seen. But the conversations are real, the motivations are clear, and the offseason ahead could reshape the league in ways that will be felt for years.
