The California Highway Patrol has issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Ridgecrest Police Department for three children allegedly abducted by their father Today. The alert covers Kern, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Imperial and San Luis Obispo counties.
Who the children are
The children have been identified as 10-year-old Maximus Roman, 8-year-old Kaiser Roman and 4-year-old Hailee Roman. Maximus is described as about 4 feet 7 inches tall and 50 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a gray tank top and jean shorts. Kaiser is described as roughly 4 feet 6 inches tall and 45 pounds, also with black hair and brown eyes, last seen in a blue shirt and jean shorts. Hailee is described as about 3 feet 4 inches tall and 30 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing an orange tank top and a flower skirt.
Who authorities are looking for
The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Julio Roman-Garcia, the children’s father according to the Ridgecrest Police Department. He is described as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 400 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and black sweatpants.
Circumstances surrounding the disappearance
The children were last seen around 11:30 a.m. Today at the intersection of East Coso Avenue and East Las Flores Avenue in Ridgecrest. According to court records, Roman-Garcia had a scheduled court hearing that day regarding a petition for a domestic violence restraining order, and the children were last seen near the Ridgecrest courthouse.
Vehicle information
Roman-Garcia is believed to be driving a 2014 gray Honda Accord bearing California license plate 9RUN898.
