Ticketmaster told buyers Friday, Oct. 9, that the event organizer had to cancel, and refunds are on the way. No reason was given. The timing, though, has fans connecting the dots. Brown is scheduled to be sentenced in London on Oct. 26 after pleading guilty in a 2023 nightclub attack, and the canceled dates sit right around that court date. Which Usher and Chris Brown shows were canceled? The Cincinnati…

Kelsey Mitchell is an unrestricted free agent after the most productive season of her career, and the Indiana Fever’s biggest challenge in keeping her may have nothing to do with money. Mitchell scored a league record 1,086 points this season, but in her end of season interview she said playing for the Fever has been hard because of the abuse she and her teammates receive from fans tied to Caitlin Clark’s spotlight. Clark responded Thursday, Oct. 8, calling Mitchell a good soul and saying the Fever will recruit her as hard as they can. Mitchell, 30, has already said she…

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were photographed holding hands Thursday, Oct. 1, as they walked into The Falkland Arms, a 16th century pub in the village of Great Tew, Oxfordshire. The photos, published by The Sun the next day, mark the couple’s first public outing together since moving their family back to the U.K. in late August. Meghan ordered gluten free beer battered haddock and chips with mushy peas, while Harry went with a chicken, ham and leek pie. That same Thursday, Meghan was posting pictures of her own. While the tabloid photos showed a couple heading to lunch, her…

LeBron James made his Philadelphia 76ers debut Saturday, Oct. 3, at the team’s Blue x White scrimmage at Xfinity Mobile Arena. At 41, he looked nothing like a man about to start a record 24th NBA season. In front of about 10,000 fans who paid $10 a ticket, Lebron threw down lob dunks, buried a deep step back 3 and whipped a behind the back pass that brought the building to its feet. Those highlights are what spread first. The part worth staying for came later, on the bench, and it says more about where James is in life than…

What happened in the Nolan Wells case? A Jackson County, Mississippi, grand jury decided not to charge anyone in the death of the 18-year-old college football player. It found that the condition and location of his body were consistent with drowning. Wells disappeared after a July 4 boat trip with friends to Horn Island off the Gulf Coast, and his body was recovered nearby two days later. The grand jury’s report was released late Sept. 21. Is the case over? Not quite. The state medical examiner and the family’s private pathologist both list the cause and manner of death as…

Why won’t Victor Wembanyama endorse sports betting? The San Antonio Spurs star says it clashes with what he wants his name to stand for. After a training camp practice Thursday, Oct. 1, reporters asked whether he would ever partner with a betting or prediction market company. He shut it down immediately and said he never will. He added that it saddens him to watch other players promote gambling, though he respects their right to choose. He also revealed that he has walked away from far more endorsement money than he has ever accepted, turning down offers that did not fit…

What is in the eye drops recall? Nearly 750,000 units of lubricant eye drops and eye ointment, including more than 500,000 Walgreens store brand units, are being pulled because they may not be sterile, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Sterling Pharmaceutical Services LLC of Dupo, Illinois, started the recall Aug. 20. The FDA classified it as Class II on Sept. 21. What should you do? Check the product name, lot number and expiration date on any drops in your medicine cabinet against the FDA’s enforcement report. If yours match, stop using them and call your doctor. Which…

Jay-Z calls Ye one of the most brilliant creative minds the world will ever see in episode six of his HBO docuseries “JAŸ-Z in 8.” The moment comes as director Rick Rubin plays “Jail,” the opening track of Ye’s 2021 album Donda, which features Jay-Z. Jay says Ye has always kept a place for him and a kind of reverence for him as a big brother, and that he doesn’t believe Ye has lost that feeling. The timing of the interview complicates the moment. Rubin recorded these conversations over two days in April 2023, according to Complex. Since then, Ye’s…
