Khloé Kardashian has never been one to shy away from talking about her health, and she is keeping that tradition going. Ahead of the launch of Khloud Protein Chips the newest product from her wellness brand Khloud the 41 year old opened up about what her fitness journey has really looked like over the years and why the number on a scale has never been part of the equation.

It was never about the scale

For Kardashian, the relationship with working out has always been rooted in feeling good rather than hitting a specific weight. She does not own a scale and says she has no interest in starting. Instead, her focus has remained on how she feels in her body and how she shows up for herself each day.

She has been candid about how easy it is to fall into the comparison trap, especially with the constant presence of social media, and has admitted she has not been immune to it. But over time, she has found that treating herself as her own competition has been far more fulfilling than measuring herself against others.

Why age has changed her perspective

Now in her early 40s, Kardashian says she has developed a deeper appreciation for the fact that no two bodies are the same. She has noticed that some people can go to the gym twice a week and maintain a physique that she herself has to work much harder for  and rather than feeling defeated by that, she now sees it as something worth celebrating.

That shift in perspective has been a significant part of what keeps her motivated. She believes that working harder for something is not a disadvantage; it is a story worth telling and a source of genuine pride.

The inside-out approach to transformation

One of the most consistent threads in Kardashian’s wellness philosophy is the idea that lasting physical transformation has to begin internally. Confidence, self-respect and a genuine sense of self-worth are, in her view, the foundation on which everything else is built.

She is also firm about one thing: there are no shortcuts. While she acknowledges that certain tools and forms of assistance exist and can be helpful, she is equally clear that none of them work in isolation. Reprogramming the mind, building self-love and doing the actual work remain non-negotiable parts of the process, regardless of what else is in the mix.

The difficult chapter that started it all

Kardashian’s journey to fitness did not begin from a place of ambition or aspiration. It started in 2013, during one of the most painful periods of her life her divorce from former NBA player Lamar Odom. At the time, she turned to the gym as a way to process what she was going through, using physical movement as an outlet when other forms of support were no longer available to her.

The situation became even more complicated when confidential information she had shared in therapy reportedly made its way into the tabloids. The breach of trust left her feeling exposed and unwilling to seek that kind of professional support again. The gym became the one place where she felt safe, private and in control.

That origin story has shaped not just how she works out, but why and it remains central to how she thinks about health, healing and what it means to truly take care of yourself.

A new chapter with Khloud

With the launch of Khloud Protein Chips, Kardashian is continuing to build a brand that reflects her personal values around wellness. The product is designed to offer a better-for-you snacking option for people who want to stay on track without sacrificing taste a concept that aligns with her broader belief that healthy living should feel sustainable, not punishing.

For Kardashian, the goal has always been the same: feel good, work hard and stop waiting for magic.
