A suspect has been arrested after Missouri football player Ahmad Hardy was shot at a Mississippi concert and underwent surgery.
Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of Missouri Tigers running back Ahmad Hardy, nearly one week after the college football player was injured during an outdoor concert in Mississippi.
Rashodrick Harris, 20, of Wayne County, Mississippi, was taken into custody on May 14 in Paducah, Kentucky, according to reports from the Associated Press and NBC Sports, citing the Laurel Police Department.
The arrest comes after Hardy, 20, was shot in the upper leg while attending a concert on May 10. The athlete later underwent surgery and has since returned home to Missouri as he continues recovering from his injuries.
Investigators said Harris was identified through surveillance footage gathered during the investigation into the shooting.

According to authorities, witness information and video evidence helped investigators connect Harris to the incident.
Police said surveillance footage played a major role in identifying the suspect. An arrest warrant was later issued after investigators reviewed evidence connected to the shooting, harris is currently awaiting extradition and is expected to face two counts of aggravated assault.
Sgt. Macon Davis of the Laurel Police Department confirmed details of the arrest to the Associated Press.
Officials also revealed that three additional people of interest were initially detained during the investigation but were later released without charges.
Police said the investigation remains active and additional arrests could still occur as detectives continue reviewing evidence and interviewing witnesses tied to the concert shooting.

Hardy underwent surgery shortly after the shooting and was later reported to be in stable condition.
