Tiger Woods appears to be heading back to rehabilitation treatment in Switzerland just weeks after completing an earlier stay, adding another chapter to a difficult year for the golf icon as he continues dealing with legal issues and personal setbacks.

The 15 time major champion, 50, was reportedly tracked traveling from Florida to Switzerland over the weekend, according to flight tracker Celebplanes. The reported trip marks Woods second visit to the European country in recent months following his March arrest on a misdemeanor DUI with property damage charge.

The latest development comes during a turbulent stretch for Woods, whose highly publicized legal battle has unfolded alongside concerns about his health, his future in golf and the recent cancer diagnosis shared publicly by girlfriend Vanessa Trump.

Woods reportedly returns overseas for treatment

Woods initially traveled to Switzerland on April 3 following his March 27 arrest in Florida. His first reported rehabilitation stay lasted more than a month before he returned to the United States on May 13.

His private Gulfstream V aircraft was reportedly seen departing from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida, on Saturday evening before landing in Switzerland on Sunday.

While Woods has not publicly addressed the latest trip, the timing has fueled speculation that he may be continuing treatment related to the events surrounding his arrest earlier this year.

His brief return to Florida earlier this month also drew attention because it came shortly before Vanessa Trump revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Though no official explanation was provided for Woods return home, the timing placed renewed focus on the couple’s relationship during a particularly emotional period.

Vanessa Trump and Woods lean on each other

Vanessa Trump publicly shared news of her breast cancer diagnosis on May 20 through social media, revealing that Woods had been a major source of support throughout the difficult experience. The couple has reportedly been together since March 2025 and has largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight despite growing public interest.

Trump, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., has reportedly remained close to him throughout his legal troubles and rehabilitation efforts.

Sources close to the situation have suggested he may have returned to Florida in part to spend time with Trump after her diagnosis became public. Neither Woods nor Trump has publicly commented on the reason for his recent travel. The relationship has become an increasingly visible part of Woods personal life as he continues trying to rebuild stability away from competitive golf.

Details surrounding the DUI arrest

Woods was arrested after authorities said his Land Rover struck the rear of a utility pressure cleaning truck during a March 27 incident. Officers reported that he showed signs of impairment despite recording a 0.00 on a breathalyzer test at the scene.

According to police documents, two white pills later identified as hydrocodone were allegedly found in his pocket after the incident. Authorities also noted that Woods reportedly declined to provide a urine sample. Officers stated in their report that he appeared disoriented during field sobriety testing and displayed physical signs consistent with impairment.

He later pleaded not guilty to all charges connected to the incident.

Earlier this month, a judge ordered him to provide prescription records tied to the time surrounding the crash. The records are expected to remain sealed from public view as the case proceeds. He is scheduled to appear in court for the first time on July 7.

Golf comeback placed on hold again

The arrest arrived at a delicate point in Woods’ attempted return to competitive golf following years of injuries and surgeries. Days before the incident, Woods had participated in the TGL final, the indoor golf league he helped launch alongside Rory McIlroy.

His appearance marked one of his first competitive events after a 20 month absence tied to ongoing back and leg problems. Woods last competed in an official professional golf tournament during the 2024 British Open. Following his arrest, he announced plans to step away from the sport while focusing on recovery and treatment.

For years, Woods has battled significant physical setbacks linked to multiple surgeries stemming from injuries suffered throughout his career, including the devastating 2021 car crash that nearly cost him his leg.

An uncertain road ahead

As Woods reportedly begins another rehabilitation stay in Switzerland, questions continue surrounding both his legal future and whether he will eventually return to professional golf.

The five time Masters champion remains one of the most recognizable athletes in sports history, but the past several months have presented mounting challenges both personally and professionally.

Between his ongoing court case, concerns surrounding his recovery and Vanessa Trump’s recent health battle, Woods faces a critical period that could shape the next phase of his life and career.
