After months of building anticipation through a four part livestream series unlike anything else in mainstream rap promotion, Drake is finally ready to deliver. His ninth solo studio album, Iceman, arrives on May 15, 2026, through OVO Sound and Republic Records and the final piece of the rollout lands tonight.

Episode 4 of the rapper’s cinematic livestream series streams live at 9:45 p.m. ET from the CN Tower in downtown Toronto. Fans can tune in on Drake’s official YouTube channel to watch the conclusion of a campaign that has replaced the traditional playbook of singles, music videos, and press runs with something far more immersive.

A rollout built on 4 episodes and a lot of mystery

The Iceman campaign launched formally in July 2025 with a string of cryptic teasers that gave very little away. What followed was a slow, deliberate build three livestream episodes, each offering unreleased music snippets, visual storytelling, and behind the scenes glimpses that kept fans and industry insiders locked in.

Each of the 4 episodes served as its own event, functioning more like a serialized creative release than a conventional promotional push. The approach generated a sustained wave of conversation across social media and streaming platforms, which is exactly what the Toronto rapper appeared to be going for.

Drake has described the concept as the ideal way to showcase new work, framing each livestream as a calculated creative risk rather than a safe promotional move. Whether or not the gamble pays off becomes clear in less than 24 hours.

What listeners know and don’t know about Iceman

Despite months of buildup, the album remains largely under wraps. The exact tracklist and full feature list have not been officially confirmed. Fans have spent weeks dissecting leaked snippets from previous episodes, running down production credits and flagging potential collaborators, but Drake has held the details close.

What is confirmed, Iceman is his ninth solo studio album and follows his collaborative project Some Sexy Songs. It will be released through OVO Sound and Republic Records, the same label home that has backed his previous releases.

Coming back after a year of public conflict

The album lands at a defining moment in Drake’s career. Throughout 2024, he was at the center of a highly publicized feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar that consumed hip-hop coverage for months. The conflict played out through diss tracks and a flood of online debate about artistry, legacy, and who holds cultural authority in rap.

Now, Iceman represents Drake’s clearest opportunity to shift the conversation back to the music itself. Industry observers have noted that the album’s reception could carry real weight in determining how he is positioned in the current rap landscape not just commercially, but critically.

The choice to build the rollout around 4 livestream episodes rather than traditional media was itself a statement. It positioned Drake as someone unwilling to play by old rules, even amid scrutiny.

What happens when Iceman drops tonight at midnight

Tonight’s Episode 4 livestream is designed to carry the album directly into its release window, creating a seamless transition from promotional moment to midnight drop. The first 24 hours on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube will offer the clearest signal of how the album is performing, and fan reaction on social media will be nearly instant.

Early critical reviews from major outlets will begin shaping the broader narrative around Iceman within hours of release. The question of whether the album delivers on the weight of its rollout whether months of episodic buildup were matched by the music itself will have an answer very soon.

For Drake, a rapper who built his career on controlling the narrative, the next 24 hours may be the most important stretch of 2026 so far.
